KARACHI: An Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) rejected the bail plea of cleric and leader of Majlis Wahadatul Muslameen (MWM) Allama Mirza Yousaf in the hated speech case.
During the course of the hearing, the investigation officer informed the court that Yousaf is alleged of delivering hated speech and a First Information Report FIR has been lodged against him in Police Station Sharifabad. The court – after hearing the arguments of both the parties – rejected the bail plea of accused.
The officer requested the court to grant a 14-day physical remand of the accused – on which the court sent Yousaf to jail on a 14-day judicial remand.
