SARGODHA: Man convicted in a murder case was awarded death sentence by District Sessions Judge Tariq Javed in a case registered by Noushera police station on Thursday.
According to prosecution, on February 5, 2015, Muhammad Usman, along with his three accomplices including Gul Muhammad, Khuda Bukhsh and Yar Muhammad, gunned down their opponent Muhammad Iqbal over an old enmity.
Police registered a case against them and after proceedings, the judge awarded death sentence to Usman and imposed Rs 500,000 fine, which would be given to the aggrieved part as compensation.
However, the court acquitted the three co-accused for lack of evidence against them. The convicts were sent to district jail.
